B'gosh 'n b'gorra
(hmmm... I don't think the "Irish" spelling is quite right on this one!)
...but I did want to tell you that I had a fine time on St. Patrick's Day!

This month we have actually been VERY busy on our new Science Unit... SPACE!
We learned all about the solar system. Did you know there are nine planets? I learned a trick to remember the planet names in order too...

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto!

We made some really RAD spaceships and hung them all over the classroom.

Then we had a COOL visit from StarLab. StarLab comes from the Vancouver Planetarium. It's a HUGE air-filled dome. We turned out all the lights and then looked at pictures of the solar system and the star constellations on the ceiling. When Darryl, the StarLab "Pilot", put the constellations into hyperdrive, I sure got dizzy! My favourite constellation was Leo the lion, of course!!!
