One of my exciting adventures was Chinese New Year! Nestor School has its own handmade dragon. This dragon takes a whole class of 30 students under its body, and another class of students to play the music and hold the banners! It was very exciting! Everyone in the school comes out of their classrooms and into the halls to cheer the dragon on! My goodness, but the music is very loud!

Here I am posing with the dragon. Don't worry, he's very friendly even though he looks fierce. Chinese Dragons are benevolent and wise, unlike the Western Dragons that are vicious and horrible.

Along with the dragon dance, there is a lion dance too! The lion only has two people under it, but the actual head-dress is authentic from our Chinatown in Vancouver city! Can you see the pearl... the lion follows the pearl.

How about this... a lion in a lion's mouth!!!
