Hugh Manatee's 2001/02 Adventure in Canada!

Page 5

Dear Boys and Girls:

So... here it is Spring already!

The Japanese Cherry trees are all in blossom along the walkway to Nestor school.

The daffodils and tulips that the children planted in the fall are now blossoming beside the Sanctuary pond.

We added a hummingbird feeder to one of the classroom windows.

Here the view looking out of one of the classroom windows.

Even the school hallway has flowers!

The squirrels are quite excited about the suet hanging in the tree outside the classroom.

Hey! That's supposed to be for the BIRDS!!!

We took a walk to a nearby lake to practice identifying birds.
Hmmm.... I wonder if there are any manatees in that lake???

Those Canada geese are big birds!.

We also saw crows, chickadees, juncos, swallows, sparrows, cowbirds, gulls, a hawk,
mallard ducks and some really cute little ducklings that were jumping up for insects!
We saw some turtles too! No manatees though! ;-)

Love and hugs,
Hugh Manatee
